Go to www.entertainmentearth.com and search for "coronation"
Now... does anybody know a good place to get the LOTR minimates on-line at a good price?
Oh! And Toybiz is coming out with a "dark Galadriel" - spooky! *G*
Actually... I just ordered two from Amazon.com yesterday... one for me and one for my friends who just got married... I thought it'd be appropriate (since I didn't have a wedding gift to give them at the actual wedding).
Now, I just want my Gamling and Gil-Galad :)
PS - Toys R Us carries the mini mates (those are the Lego like things, right?). They had the set with Saruman, Legolas, and Aragorn and the set with Gandalf, Frodo, and Gollum... they run $9.99 per set.
*gasp* REALLY????? Gotta make a run tomorrow! Thank you. *S*
Oh man. Had I know, I could have bought you some at Comic-Con. In the meantime, these folks had a booth and my friend bought some:http://www.shopafx.com/loofrimi.html
The prices were much better than here but it's a place to start.
Perfect! And for once, a site that's actually ORGANIZED! Many thanks. *G* Still all abuzz from ComicCon?
Still abuzz and tired, too. I'll write up something but it won't be much. No need to say what everyone else has said. Still sifting through photos.
*G* So glad (and, yes, envious!) that you got to go. The only things keeping me from being too upset at not going are 1) I've seen Billy and Dom before, so I shouldn't be "greedy", and 2) it had to be pretty tough to get into the talks, or get autographs, much less get well-positioned for photographs, with all of the crowd.
I was really tempted to go at the last minute, especially since I suspected there might be a chance that all of the "hobbits" would be there, as they apparently have in the past. Can't tell you how regretful I would have been if that had happened! And it sounds like quite the Con, even aside from everything else. For that, though, I can go to GenCon here in Indy - they tend to have a lot of fun, geeky stuff - or Wizard World up in Chicago, where you can see/buy lots of toys. *G* I do love those toys... Thanks for the minimates link - I bought 'em. They look hilarious. Can't wait to see the hobbits close up!
Speaking of photos... Lilith takes wonderful photos (she comes by it honestly, having spent years photographing indoor sporting events, so she has lots of experience with conditions like those at Cons, and good equipment for it). I wonder how hers came out?
Oh! And did you go to see The Rose (the ship used in MAC:FSOTW) when you went to San Diego? I didn't even realize it was there until I read that one of the billyboyd fans saw it.
If you can ever fly out for this, do so. It's a fantastic convention. Really worth it. Next year's dates are July 14-17.
Conventions for me aren't just LOTR. There was plenty of other stuff. I went to bunches of other panels. And the vendors are amazing. I attended Wizard World here this year. Much smaller but still crowded and worth attending.
I drove past The Rose many times. I was going to see it yesterday but my friend and I were too tired. It will be in port until November so there's still time. Only a 2 1/2 hour drive. My friend said maybe we could do a DVD-watching weekend and go see the Rose at the same time.
Hope you like your Mini-Mates! More stuff for your new Shrine!
Only until November! Too bad - I didn't know that. Do you know where it's going then? *pouts*
I love the mini-mates - just bought more at ToysRUs! Squeeeee!!!
