Calling all Scotland Fanatics... here's a job for you!
Fancy working at the Traverse Theatre? (behind the lj-cuts is the full email from the Traverse; I highly recommend signing up for their updates!)

Traverse Theatre Email Update 30 (Thu 1 Apr 2004)
April Fools Day and the best prank we could come up with was to deliver
this to your In Box.
No electric handshake, no evil soap, no itching powder. Oh, take me
back to
the innocent days where a good laugh could be rightfully gained at the
expense of somebody else's misery. Here, kitty, kitty... come out and
play.
These are our reasons to be cheerful:

1. What's Up @ The Trav
Point Blank - Operation Wonderland
Thu 1 Apr - Sat 3 Apr (7.30pm)
Devastatingly dark satire from one of Britain's hottest new theatre
companies.
http://www.traverse.co.uk/show_detail.php?id=190

Topiary Dance Company - Purple Potting Shed
Sat 3 Apr (1.30pm & 4.30pm)
A magical dance & music show for 4 - 7 year olds & families.
http://www.traverse.co.uk/show_detail.php?id=191

7:84 Theatre Company - Reasons to be Cheerful
Tue 6 - Sat 10 Apr (8pm)
"Mark Steel's hilarious and thought-provoking memoir" (Sunday Herald)
http://www.traverse.co.uk/show_detail.php?id=192

2. Come With Us
Bored with your current career? Fancy stepping up to play in our gang?
Well, punk, do ya? We are now recruiting for two positions - Front Of
House
Manager and Assistant Box Office Manager. Full application packs can be
found at:
http://www.traverse.co.uk/gallery.php

3. Competition Time
Would you like to win tickets for Point Blank's Operation Wonderland
tomorrow night (Fri 2 April)? The resounding chorus cries 'Oh Yes!'.
Just
email us back with the answer to this question:
Q: Which movie did Walt Disney's Mickey Mouse make his screen debut
appearance in?
Four tickets are up for grabs and I'm open to bribery, corruption &
lies.
If you promise me a pure bred Ragdoll kitten, you can have as many
tickets
as you like.

4. The People Next Door Next Door To You
Our smash festival hit of 2003 The People Next Door by Henry Adam will
be
touring during April & May. It will be visiting:
Citizens' Theatre, Glasgow : Tue 27 April - Sat 1 May
King's, Edinburgh : Wed 5 - Sat 8 May
Belgrade, Coventry : Tue 11 - Sat 15 May
Schauspielhaus, Bochum : Thu 20 May
Schauspielhaus, Dusseldorf : Sat 22 & Sun 23 May
The People Next Door is a hilariously dark comedy about what happens
when
someone else's global problem becomes your local one. Originally
produced
at the Traverse in the 2003 Edinburgh Festival, it won both Fringe
First
and Herald Angel Awards. Don't miss it this time. Or else.

5. Indulge
Spring has sprung and there's a lorra, lorra good things happening out
there. Avoid that daylight and make a point of seeing Kila at the
Queens
Hall (http://www.kila.ie), Off Kilter at Festival Theatre
(http://www.eft.co.uk), Lucien Freud at the National Gallery
(http://www.nationalgalleries.org), Edinburgh International Science
Festival (http://www.sciencefestival.co.uk) and the Edinburgh Harp
Festival
(http://www.harpfestival.co.uk).

Keep on Keepin' on

If you don't want to get these emails anymore (and who could blame
you?)
just send us an email back to this address with the words 'Ex Partner'
in
the Subject line. It's OK. Sometimes these things just don't work out.
