...off at a conference since Friday. Just on for a bit tonight, and I saw this in an on-line movie review - *G*:
"Middling weekend at the box office. Russell Crowe's career worries aren't fully allayed. Yuma did over $14 million. Still say he's the reason they screwed up the ending to that movie so very badly. And the numbers don't say he's "back" after the falloff from A Good Year and Cinderella Man.
If American Gangster doesn't do gang-busters (it almost certainly will), Crowe had better start begging Peter Weir and Paul Bettany and Billy Boyd for another Master & Commander.
Which would suit me just fine. "
*L*! Whoooooot! *G*
I saw "3:10 to Yuma" and, yes, the ending was too unbelievable, although Russell Crowe was a joy to watch (especially riding a horse), and Christian Bale was very good. Ben Foster got mentioned in a lot of reviews, and I can see why; he stood out as the psychopathic sidekick to Russell Crowe's character.
