Tintin... is a person? Not the dog, Rin-tin-tin? What is WITH you Belgians? *G* And why is Peter Jackson interested? http://www.theonering.net/perl/newsview/1/1179267687

| They're doing Tintin?!? WHEEEEEE! That's fantastic! (I hope it's better than the first live-action attempt...)
Catherine *gasp*
You never read Tintin?? My brother and I would *beg* Mom to get us the next volume whenever we were promised a treat. *laughs* 'Course, some of it's less than PC now, but oh, the adventure! And we read 'em in French class too, along with Asterix. SB eats them up now; our poor battered mildewy copies. Boo has the Moon adventures in hardcover, though, which are in much better shape.
How groovy about PJ! I hope it comes off well! Oh, you people who took French and your Asterix! *G*
Love your icon! You KNOW Tintin! Everybody knows Tintin! Rintintin is from Lucky Luke, way different comic. O___o Tintin has been around for ages and ages, I grew up with him. Captain Haddock from the series was my first ever Captain love. XD Oh the rage, the rage. Oh, dear...! Suuuuure... *backs away* ![[User Picture]](https://l-userpic.livejournal.com/62318442/8968237) | From: | niroc |

Tintin is a person, though I prefer his Belgian name: Kuifje. Peter would be interested because it's one of Belgium's most well known comic book characters. Wasn't this supposed to be a Steven Spielberg project? Steven AND Peter. *beams* Our little boy is hobnobbing with the greats! Did you know Kuifje didn't actually HAVE a "kuifje" until like a couple of issues in? His hair was just flat and then there was a car chase or something somilar and it flew back into its now famous shape and it stayed like that. :D
Ahh TV, the things you teach me. ![[User Picture]](https://l-userpic.livejournal.com/101313673/530745) | From: | ilthit |

...Not knowing Tintin like not knowing Donald Duck. Or Lucky Luke, or Asterix, or Astro Boy. :D They have a large statue of the rocket from the moon adventure on the Brussels airport. *does not know Lucky Luke*
I've only heard of Asterix because either French or Latin classes or both tend to use them. I didn't take either, but must have seen some comic books a friend had.
Astro Boy - yep, they had a show about him here. *G*
So, the question is: do Finns generally know about Tintin? Tin Tin by PJ & Co.! WOOT!!! Ros ros ros! *clings* Is Charlie going to be ok???????
(Do they call you Ros?)
(Don't answer if you actually KNOW what's going to happen to Charlie.)
What's going to happen to Charlie??!??!?! I'm scared!
This dynamite idea is silly.
Ack! Flashback charlie in the rain! He's gonna die, ain't he!!! *innocent*
