Sax and Violins with Common Rotation - "You didn't hear about the polar bear?"
Sax and Violins with Common Rotation|
Oh good lord- I read that as 'Sex and Violins!'. I never change. Time to go to bed, I think.
*G* I shoulda known that would catch YOUR eye!
BTW, sorry to hear about your sickness; hope you're better soon. (((hugs you carefully)))
um. wow! They are super gorgeous..and so are the photos...proper review when i'm home and awake!
(((hug))) Hope all is still going well in NY; I know the colder weather is sneaking back, so hopefully you brought a coat! Thanks for taking a quick look. I'm really in love with the Adam shots - for once they're sharp and nicely lit/shaded.
Have fun! *waves to Hedwig - and Lisa, if she's with you*
You really do take the most wonderful pictures: )
Thank you very much! *S*
(love your "save the beard" icon!)
I enjoy common rotation ever since a big group of us saw them at Uncommon Grounds- where I was at coincidentaly on Thursday(?) last week for a coffee break before I went to my friend's play.
It's a cool place; I'm glad that going to see them made me aware of it.

Awesome piccies (as usual)! Thanks so much for posting them hun'! I was just listening to them today and I realized how much I miss these guys!
I bet you do - (((((((hugs)))))) Keep at 'em to do YOUR living room in Australia (oops - or are you in NZ now?)!
(p.s. who's in your icon pic?)
Hey, who are those guys? I mean, besides their name.
Well, a lot of their fans first learned about them because Adam Busch (who might look familiar) was on "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" as one of the Geeksome Trio (the evil one). As a result, they've done a handful of cons.
But they're a lot more than an "actor band". Adam and Eric - well, think of them as similar to Simon and Garfunkel. Two guys that grew up together and shared a passion for music in New York City; one Jewish and one not; excellent harmony; a bit of a folkie sound, but with hooks; Adam with that kind of short, funny, self-deprecating persona and Eric with the "wants to look like Woody Guthrie" folksinger persona. The biggest difference is that both of them write, and they take turns singing lead. There's also Jordan, who adds trumpet and banjo to the occasion, as well as the occasional harmony.
They're easy to check out; just go to www.commonrotation.com, or go to their MySpace. They're dedicated to sharing their music, so they regularly (sometimes daily) post a new song or a new rendition of a song up on their "Union Maid" part of the site.
They're still at the small venue (i.e., coffeehouses) stage, and they put on a show that's both musical and fun, so check them out if you can!
