In honor of the High Holidays...
As Stephen Colbert reminded us, this last week (the week between Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kuppur) is the week when those of the Jewish faith make apologies for any offences they caused throughout the year. Well, not to take it too seriously, I thought I'd do somethig similar. Only, in this case, my apologies are to those I've promised things to - photos, books, videos, etc. - and still haven't delivered on.

So - if there's something I've promised you over the lst year and haven't gotten round to delivering on, here's your chance to remind me, and I won't feel offended. *G*

Of course, part of this is that I'm already in the process of trying to fulfill as many of those obligations as I can this week. So, forthose of you expecting the following, they're sitting on my table, ready to go:

- a McDonald's toy car for Kisa
- CD's of 30STM videos for Lilith (I re-viewed them and I think you'll enjoy them!)
- a CD of the Sufjan Stevens concert for Hobbitgrrl (to go along with the other things I gave you at the concert)
- A copy of Master and Commander for Kam
- a Gryphon for Cal (once I find a box big enough!)

And, last but not least, and quite timely actually, what with the upcoming concerts in Great Britain... pics of the May 23, 2006 concert at Uncommon Ground in Chicago of COMMON ROTATION! WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOT!!!! Pooh, they are even better than I remember, so I couldn't cut it down much. So I only put half in the album at this time (the last half, since I remembered those as the best of the lot). Four samples are below; click on any of them and you'll be in the album. Or, here's an easy link to the whole album: http://pics.livejournal.com/rosamundeb/gallery/00023pdy?page=1

Enjoy, Pooh!!!!!!!

p.s. If you are a fan of John Hodgman, you should read hobbitgrrl's story of her seeing him at Borders! http://hobbitgrrl.livejournal.com/230905.html

Woah, you have a CD of the Sufjan show for me? I didn't even realize you were recording it! Thanks for the CoRo cd, by the way; it's so fun to hear those boys again. The concert will be coming sooner than we think, of course! :) Oh yeah, and awesome pictures of the CoRo boys of course!

Thanks! *G* Yep, but it's not the whole concert. It's all of "Chicago", and bits of 3 others - more to capture the look and feel of it than anything else!

Glad you like them!!!! I was actually thrilled when I went and looked back at them; they were better than I remembered. The lighting for Eric was perfect, and he looked great. Not such good lighting for Adam, though, and poor for Jordan (hence, one photo!). I still have the first half to go through, and then post.

BTW - if you want, I'll send you a CD of pics?

They're shaking in their shoes... *L*!

Hey - let's hope! Of course, it'd be even better if I could drop them off when I go to see Ian McKellen in King Lear... if only TAP gave more vacation! Although I shouldn't say that; with my luck, the place will close down and I'll have PLENTY of vacation.

If I wasn't looking forward to the UK gigs already, these pics would have done the trick, they are splendid indeed! I am really looking forward to seeing just how long Jordans beard is now *LOL* Oh and bless Eric he looks a bit like he is in pain, must be the shirt *slaps self* I so did not say that!
I love the expression on Adams face in the last b&w shot... *bless*

*L*! I had forgotten how long it was until I looked back at that photo (these are from May, BTW)! *G* - what, you don't like the pink (okay, so it's a faded red design on white) shirt? And, yes, I think they're singing a gospel tune, or "Little Shoes" in that last one, out in the audience - hence the holy expression.

I am looking forward to Jordans beard, it may even be long enough to plait now: )
That colour is very,very pink fine on Eric, I just have a whole thing going on with flowery shirts on men *LOL*

Well, it's been a bit wet lately and he IS stuffed!

(*L*! I'm not a big Jay Leno fan, but I think you'll appreciate one of his offbeat ads that I just saw in a preview:

"Free bag of sugar with purchase of diabetic supplies"

EEEEK! *L*!)

Forgive me for jumping in here but:

a Gryphon for Cal (once I find a box big enough!)

What kind of gryphon would this be? The original kind, with an eagle's head and wings and a lion's body came up elsewhere recently, so I'm particularly curious. {smile}

Yep, that's it! It's a stuffed animal (actually, a puppet) that I found at GenCon. Cal particularly likes Griffins.

{Smile} That does sound neat. {BIG SMILE}

I'm trying to remember and write up something I heard a couple of years ago about one theory of what inspired the Greek myths about griffins in the first place. When/if I get it written up and posted, would you like me to let you know? {SMILE}

Ahhhh!!!! That's very interesting! I never thought of how the ancients might have interpreted fossils - thanks!

{GRIN} I thought that was pretty neat. {BIG GRIN}

That whole show was about how the ancient Greeks interpreted fossils. They thought more than just gryphons were related to fossils; cyclops, serpents, and over-sized heros also got involved. {SMILE}

I never did finish describing that show, but a couple of long-ago posts are under "fossils" in my memories. I'm afraid those posts pre-date tags. {Smile}
