Here are photos from The Gathering - all except the ones at the banquet, which I'll try to post later this week. (ETA: link to later post regarding photos of banquet - http://rosamundeb.livejournal.com/279761.html
The Gathering 2006 Hobbits and Gandalf - photos of a group of hobbits and an excellent Gandalf: http://share.shutterfly.com/action/welcome?sid=9AbsWjFy1aqI9Q¬ag=1
The Gathering 2006 Centerpiece Panel - photos from a gathering of writers, artists, musicians, actors, etc. on how Tolkien inspired them: http://share.shutterfly.com/action/welcome?sid=9AbsWjFy1aqJCw¬ag=1
The Gathering 2006 Signings - largely photos of Craig Parker and Bruce Hopkins, but also the first two fans in line, and a patient man holding his female friends' bags: http://share.shutterfly.com/action/welcome?sid=9AbsWjFy1aqI_Y¬ag=1
The Gathering 2006 Awards - photos taken during the presentation of the Unquenchable Flame (?) awards; yes, that's Amy Sturgis being helped up on a chair to reach the microphone, which is being held by Bruce Hopkins, while Craig Parker holds the flame, using his Asbestos Thumb! There's also Bruce Hopkins standing next to Anthony Burdge (of Heren Istarion), and Ed Rodriguez (not shown here): http://share.shutterfly.com/action/welcome?sid=9AbsWjFy1aqJA4¬ag=1

Awesome photos! I love the faces :) The ones from the awards are hilarious... how long did he have that lighter lit? That's crazy!
He finally almost burned his finger! *S* He's so cute.
god, I wish I could have gone. Craig is so stunningly gorgeous, and you captured him beautifully!
Thank you so much! That means a lot coming from you. And you're right - he was great fun to photograph!
Excellent! Bruce was one of my fave LOTR actors that I met - he's got an adorable smile :) Very cool guy. And Craig looks handsome there :)
*G* I'm not sure I put up the best of the two of Bruce with the hobbits, unfortunately - but he's a sweetie. And hilarious around Craig. They did a little entertainment for the people who didn't go to the LOTR musical that I'm sure was hilarious - I wish I could have been in two places at once!
That darn Craig... he IS cute! *L*!
Sadly, these are not as good as your pics, but I'm trying not to be too down on myself. The lighting was pretty poor - no extra lights on the people on stage; it was in a ballroom setting. Which is also why they're all flash rather than ambient!
Wonderful piccies, I'm gonna link this post to the Bruce comm! But hey, your Merry and Pip have beer! *pouts* mine don't, they won't be best pleased!
*LOL*!!! Well, those two beers were pressies from Ms. Abandonada - well-enjoyed pressies, I might add. I can't get them out of Merry and Pip's hands! *G*
I want the picture of me threatening Aragorn's life! Hehehe.
*G* You saucy wench! *L*! Yep, that'll be in the ones at the banquet.
Sure - please do! Were you at the Gathering by any chance?
Actually... Anthony is the guy w/the pony tail w/the feather... Ed is the darker complexion man with the mustache, and Jessica (also on organizational committee) is the blonde chick in some of the photos from the awards.
(I know... it's just a list - not in order. But I did wonder... I see a Jessica Burke on the program, but I thought she was married to Anthony, so her last name would be Burdge. Or is her name really Burke?)
Wow these photos are amazing! Oh Thank you, thank you!!! But did you get any of Lingalad?
Yes! They're in the photos I haven't posted yet; I photographed them at the Monday banquet. Check back later in the week and hopefully I'll have those up. *S*
Thank you for the pics - they're fantastic (and isn't Craig still gorgeous!)

Great pics! Many of my photos, especially in the ballrooms, came out dark.
Loved seeing Craig & Bruce again. I hope they do this again in 3 years - maybe Denver next time??
The ballrooms were very tough to photograph in; it's so much easier when there's some kind of stronger lighting aimed at the guests, such as when they're on a stage. They were great! *G* I'm guessing you're from Denver... - *L*!
These are awesome pics!
Do you mind if I post or link these at the yahoos I own/moderate? (Includes Bruce Craig and Mark Fans, as well as Fans of Bruce Hopkins...)
I was supposed to go, but had to bow out at the last minute... (new job on the coast, like it was a hard decision!)
I know... every time something good comes up, something else comes up to conflict with it! Sorry you couldn't go.
Sure! I'd love it if you did; just give credit. Thanks!
Lovely photos! I'd love to post a couple online with full credit, if you don't mind - or point others in this direction. Many thanks for sharing them! :)
I'd love that - thanks!
And love your Neuschwannstein icon... beautiful.
awww *catches up* look at those silly boys! - cute hobbitses piccies!!!! As usual you have captured some great moments :) yay!
*gasp*! You're not a Tigger... you're a POOH!!!! *G* Awwww...thanks! Bring back memories of Craig at London Expo?
Your photos are gorgeous! I did buy a few of them, I do hope that's okay. Most of my pictures didn't come out right, mostly because the rooms were too dark when I took them. They will go perfectly in my scrapbook!
I love hearing that - thanks! And they definitely WERE dark rooms. If you're interested, check back when I put up the banquet/costume/band photos from Monday.
(you know, that's the first "Over the Hedge" icon I've ever seen... was it a good movie?)
Eeeeeee! I didn't know you went. I see Debbie/Primmie there too! I'm glad they went ahead and held it again. Is it OK if I link in my journal?
Thanks for all the pictures, Rosa. I love how the men posed with the little hobbit figures. So cute.
Please do! Were you there? (I'm assuming "Primmie" is a different Primula - *G*)
Thank you! And Craig was great about posing; only he and Sala and Lawrence wanted to pose twice!
