Question from a Law & Order addict...|
They've been showing Law & Order, SVU, and Criminal Intent reruns over and over on a couple of stations, and I've become an addict. Isn't that morbid? *eek!*
Anyway, apparently I don't usually see SVU (which reminds me, I missed House by watching M&C... dang!), so I don't know much about what's currently happening. What happened to the main guy's (Elliott?) partner, and his family? Why and how are they "gone"? Hopefully somebody reading this knows! *G* Thanks.
p.s. I have waaaaaay too much stuff. Says the woman whose moving van is coming tomorrow morning at 8 am, and who therefore will probably be up all night...
What stuff? Your basement wasn't full! We could walk around in it!
In other words, I feel your pain.
*cough* It's a BIIIIIIIIIIIIIIG basement!!!! *S*
New job! Quit my old one in January, was going to take a year off, but what looks like a really good job came up in Chicago. Hatehatehate to leave the house, but...
well then youll just be closer to us here in Chi-town then! Oh well. Where ya movin to? I live on the Northwest side
Probably in Libertyville!
Well if you're watching the reruns on USA/TNT they show a hodge-podge of different ones, not in any particular order (or at least one I can figure out). I don't know much about the new season, since I only ever watch the reruns. Are you asking about Elliott, or Olivia?
I don't know how much help I'll be since I don't see the new ones, but some of the backstory on Elliott's family is that he had a wife (and three kids) but never saw them because he worked so much, so they got a divorce. Now his kids occasionally pop up in the show. As for Olivia, I don't know anything really, but I do know that Mariska Hargitay (the actress) is (was?) pregnant and is about to or just did have a baby, so she's probably taking a break.
/SVU babbling. I watch too much TV. :)
Man... but he was so good with his family (when he was there!).
Ah... makes sense. She showed up a couple of times, but was now working on computer crimes, which means... at a desk, where they can hide her stomach!
Tomorrow you're moving? Gosh. Will you drive yourself tomorrow, too? Or in a few days? Movers work differently so I don't know the answer.
This is moving paid for by the company I'm going to (talk about luxury!). It's still stressful and busy and a lot of work beforehand... but the movers come, PACK EVERYTHING that I haven't already packed, move it into the van, drive it to Chicago, and put it into storage. I'll look for a new place in the meantime, and then they'll deliver it and even (get this) UNPACK IT!
I'm afraid that a rainforest was demolished to make all the boxes and paper used for my move, though... *meep*
You have a great deal there! Way to go! Yes, it's stressful--the whole idea of what you're doing, the life change.
You might recycle the boxes on craigslist.org or freecycle in yahoo or some similar site. I've seen it done. Those moving boxes are nice and strong. I saved many of them from my own move last fall by breaking them down and setting them against a wall. Just a thought.
Hope everything goes smoothly!!!xxxxxx
Hullo, Pooh and Piglet in the icon! So cute - *G*.
Actually, everything's gone amazingly well! I got almost all the stuff I still had in paper boxes moved over to plastic boxes, the movers said I made their job easy for them (because I separated the "move" and "don't move" items clearly), and the weather was perfect. And now I have two free days to have fun and do a little work around the house!
yay!! have tons of the fun!!
I'll just have you know that I am a big fan of Christopher Meloni, who plays Elliot Stabler. I know him from the HBO series OZ, where he was a deliciously wicked inmate. It was always amusing seeing him play the opposite on SVU. Heh.
Ahhhhh!!! Oh, my - *L*! I could see him being evul.. *G*

Hey you, good luck on the move! I'm sure all will be well:D
Me and gilly really miss you, here in Belgium. But I'm hoping to do my internship for school in the States or Canada, so maybe I could visit you then. It'd be another two years though... *L*
Awwww!!!! That's be cool; what would it be an internship in?

Hopefully a record company or a producer. Something with music in any case... Well, I hope. It's another two years, so we'll have to see how my future evolves.
Both those shows really are addictive. I have the biggest crush on Vincent D'nofrio. Unfortunately, I'm no help as far as the continuity of the shows are concerned. I mostly catch them in reruns.
Have fun with the move! Ha!
