Dude... thoughts on LOST
Bullcrap... you don't really twist OREOS open... *G*.

Spoilers

Dude, Hurley is so seeing an imaginary friend! In other words... he's schizophrenic. *G* Why does Dave look so familiar?

*L*! SMASH Sawyer! Yay!!!! And cool that they caught mystery guy in a blatant lie. Finally.

Charlie, again, gets the best lines. "No, but I did see a polarbear on rollerblades with a mango." And, of course, "Risotto... cool." *L*! Damn... he's such a cutie. I do hope he and Hurley talk a bit in this episode; I miss their friendship. And I have to admit that the island psychiatrist has beautiful green eyes. I hope she really is trying to help Hurley, not hurt him.

ETA: Yep, I was right! Okay... so was this incredibly perceptive of me... or did everybody know Dave guess imaginary, too? and I just realized why the shrink is familiar - he was the anti-mutant Senator in X-Men.

ETA: Well, this is the most obvious "the island tests each of the Lost" episode ever, and may help to better explain what's happening on the island... maybe. Dave is the self-destructive and self-punishing aspect of Hurley's character. One question, though... how big WAS Hurley when that deck fell? And will we learn why and when Hurley got his nickname?

Ah... so, points to people who thought Hurley might know the woman from the hospital... although most said they thought she was a doctor. *G* Cool. And "Henry" has now replaced Locke as the most compellingly obsessively strange guy on the show. *L*!

Actually, sometimes I do. If they don't pull apart easily, a little twist usually does the trick. {chuckle, AMUSED SMILE}

Oreos: I nibble at the edges, leaving a middle piece thich I then pry off. Do the same for another cookie. I eat double stuffs, so then I put them together and have myself a quadruple stuff.

And Sawyer threw away a cookie because it didn't break properly? What a jerk!

As to this episode: BZUH?

The end.
The end.
The very last scene.
I just don't know what or how to think about it.

SMASH Sawyer! Yay!!!!

Best fight ever! Obviously Jin thought so too. hehe Loved his grin. You just know if he'd had a camera, he would've taken a picture. ;)

Gotta feel for Hurley. Poor guy. I do wonder, though, if Libby had a crush on him at Santa Rosa, because she only appeared on this side of the island what, a week ago?

I think she was probably too out of it to have a crush on him there... it'll be interesting to see her story.

*G* Jin was hilarious!

so, points to people who thought Hurley might know the woman from the hospital...

Points to ME, then! I knew she was a patient. But I stopped watching the show so that's about all I know. Though it does me good to hear that Hurley kicked Sawyer's butt. HA!

Huzzah! Oh, damn, then I can't ask you if you knew the guy Hurley kept seeing on the island was imaginary.

WHAT? YOU stopped watching? *pouts* why????

My interest took a huge whack when last season's finale resolved NOTHING and I became convinced that the writers have about as much idea what was going on as we do. Then this season dragged on and on and on and the flashbacks became even more nonsensically intrusive. All the likable characters became UNlikable. (Except Hurley and it's probably just a matter of time for him.)

Sigh. I still keep up with the basic 'plot' by reading TV Without Pity because hope springs eternal, I guess.

Sorry you asked?

I know... after other shows like X-Files and such it's easy to lose faith. But I know the creators have been asked to make sure there are real explanations for the whole setup, so I believe they do have a basic concept they're following.

Charlie is definitely unlikable... and, yet, still disturbingly cute.

And TWOP is often better than the real thing. Except with no cute Charlie. *G*

It was still an episode worthy of discussion, no matter what people think about it. I was definitely tuned in. Yeah, the X-Men senator guy! It's fun to see all the cameos/new people that pop on like him.

I have to say that for some reason I think Charlie is so much more attractive now that he's indifferent as to whether people like him. Not so needy, I guess. I loved it in the last ep when he's hiking to the balloon and gives the gun to Sayid after teasing Sexpot Nubmer Two with it. And his attitude this week during his scenes was more of the same. That attitude that says "Who needs you?" is far sexier on him than "Please like me!" He doesn't need to please people anymore because they think they know him and they all expect the worst from him, so why fight it? I hope the producers keep him this way for a bit because it makes sense, given what he's been through.

Well-said! His need for approval and attention was very annoying. Huh! You're right - he can't be any "worse" now. Let's just hope he doesn't go all the way to the Sawyer route. *G*

I just hope that he doesn't eventually get found out and voted off the island. If it happens, you know he's going to end up with the others. That's the only reason for his part of the con to exist. I can see everyone being really spooked by the "Sun" part of that con. Of course Sawyer safe as long as he has the guns, but if they get desperate enough, they'll find a way to make him talk.

Funny thing about Sawyer is that his behavior IS based on a need for attention, even if it is negative attention since he doesn't feel worthy of being liked or loved. I think his hoarding supplies is his way of making sure people HAVE to talk to him at one point or another, otherwise he would have tried harder to keep it a secret, like Hurley did with the food. That's why I find his behavior unattractive.

In "The Long Con", though, his need for attention took a back seat to his need to strike out at the people who he felt had hurt and betrayed him. That's why I kind of liked him in that epsisode, despite, or maybe because, of what we saw in the flashback. He's so damaged, it's sad.

"found out"? You mean, for attacking Sun? Whoa... and Sawyer, of course, knows this and can use it against him at any time for blackmail.

Not good.

Hmmm... a need for attention? Maybe. Maybe the difference is that it's more of a need to be in control, have all the cards, be on top of the situation. Unless he makes sure people need him he feels insecure. Perhaps?

Gotta admit...it's all getting pretty confusing. *G*

Yeah, you're right, he definitely has control issues, though they are dwarfed by Jack's and Locke's. *G*

Confusing is right! And it is starting to get really creepy again, which I like. Guess that's why I like Dark Charlie...

I swear... he is so much like (darn, I'm going blank on the first name) Skywalker turning into Darth... even down to the hoodie! I keep telling myself I'm going to do an icon of that some day... If nothing else, when they're annoying, they're both annoying in the same way - *L*!
