Chucks alert! And knitting fun!|
Heads up, OCH and Gaya!http://www.livejournal.com/community/danrad_daily/152001.html
And for the knitters - Dee, Hobbitgrrl, Psyknife, and just about everybody - some knitted hobbits (*L*!):http://www.livejournal.com/users/talechallenge24/2631.html#cutid1
and a question:
Billy Boyd narrated Raymond Griggs' "The Snowman" (the animated film), for the RSNO. I'd never seen it, and only just looked it up, but apparently both the book and the video are without words, although the video has a song "Walking on Air". How in the world did Billy narrate it, then - and did he sing the song?
I'm guessing Billy just speaks over the music - Walking On (or In The) Air is a lovely piano piece by George Winston, who did the music for the film.

But I still wonder what he speaks... since there's nothing in the movie! *G* They do mention an intro by David Bowie, but... that doesn't seem like enough.
Hehe, knitted hobbits, how cute!
Awww, Daniel has excellent taste! (and probably tastes good too...is he legal yet???)
Not yet, but must be soon! *L*!
Legal now in the UK, but not for another year and a half in your neck of the woods, and six months in mine.
(Um. I really didn't spend that much time on this, honestly. Wikipedia is my friend.)
OMG! ROTFLMAO!!! That was hilarious... and those hobbits are adorable!!! They really look like their hobbit counterparts. I love the eyes on the Frodo. And the cloaks are amazing! Thanks for finding that, dear Ros. *BLOMP*
Nice pictures of "Harry" too, btw. :-) I think he beats out Orli for appeal to teenage girls.
*G* Well, you know that Orli... he's getting kind of old... *L*!
Hahaha! Reminds me of those commentators on the ice-skating competitions... "She's getting up there, already 22" But you do have a point! How old is he now, 26? Which means he'd seem about 16 to me, lol...
That kid hates me.
He narrated the entire thing except when they were singing the song. I don't know where the words came from or who wrote them, but he did speak the whole time. He told the story of the boy and his snowman and the adventures they had.
Great! You say "they" sang the song - was there a chorus, and did he sing along?
(thanks for clarifying!)
There was a choir. It was a children's choir at the showing I went to and Billy clapped for them after the film was over. Very cute. XD
*dies of cuteness with you*
Now I've seen everything :-) Hehe
