On a lighter note... *S* - "You didn't hear about the polar bear?"
On a lighter note... *S*|
I finally found the name of the song that's been popping up since I heard it in Scotland last summer, as well as the name of the person who sang it!
It's "Just a Ride", by Jem, and you can listen to a bit of it here: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0001FFIY2/qid=1127520868/sr=2-1/ref=pd_bbs_b_2_1/103-7012936-7879857?v=glance&s=music
. Warning: it's very catchy! It's the one with the "Break down, come on and break down..." chorus.
Also, talk about strange - remember my cat with the dislocated jaw? That's been dislocated since Labor Day? That they also found was broken in the front?
He fixed it. Himself. Seriously - for the last two days, his mouth has been closed normally! AND he and my other cat are finishing all their meals, whereas a month ago, I couldn't get them to eat more than a few mouthfuls, and the two of them had been wasting away. The only downside is that he seems a little mopey - which seems odd, since he should be happy! Maybe it's uncomfortable having it in place again and he just needs to get used to it. Anyway - YAY!
I hope that's it... and I hope it stays! Amazing what a relief it is to see his face the way I'm used to seeing it. *S*

That's wonderful! Kitty heal thyself! Isn't that how the quote goes?? He seems to have taken it to heart.
"Doctor Kitty heal thyself", perhaps? *G*
He's an amazing cat - for not complaining through all of this, and just taking it in stride.
I am glad to hear about your kitties. I was just thinking about the one with the jaw earlier, wondering how he was doing. Good to hear his jaw is on the mend (knowck
Elijah wood) and he is doing better. Hope he gets back to his old self soon. I agree with Voontah, maybe it's just sore right now.
*the one with the jaw = the one with the hurt jaw - since, you know, they both have jaws, or at least I hope they do! ;)
*knowck = knock
*L*! Not to worry, I understood. Cute Billy icon!
Shame on you - don't go knocking Elijah! *G*
BTW, none of the movies I'm waiting for (Everything is Illuminated, History of Violence, Green Street Hooligans) is in Indy yet, with the exception of The Corpse Bride, which just opened today.
I doubt any of those smaller movies will make it to where I live. I do want to see Corpse Bride, though. It looks really good.
I still have no idea when I will be able to get to Indy for the exhibit. I was going to try to go to that Indymoot, but that seems to be out of the question now. *sigh* Hopefully it will be soon, though I don't imagine it will be until the end of October at the earliest.
Well, no worries, it's here for 3 months, although I was thinking you'd probably be interested in the Indymoot, too. Do you just need a ride, is that the problem? How far away are you?
yay for kitties!!!
that song drove me mad in the Summer ... was on the radio every 5 minutes! .. indeed .veeeeeeeeeeeeeeery catchy :)
*L*! Then you should have recognized it when I asked a couple of times if anybody knew it! *G* I think the problem was that I assumed the name of the song was "Breakdown"... cuz you only hear the word a THOUSAND TIMES! *L*!
Yep - and this summer is when I heard it - in SCOTLAND! *dances around* God, hard to believe I was just over there with you guys seeing "Guys and Dolls". For some reason, seeing you here in the States for CoRo seems more real - maybe because I was still in a daze from traveling. Which reminds me, I'm totally amazed at how you weren't in a daze when you came over to NY for CoRo after such a long flight!
ooopsie .. did you catch me out skim-reading ;) .. I think so!
Actually - I agree with you there .. and I WAS in a daze in NYC .. the day before we met up! I was crying on the subway I was so tired .. but CoRo and mootage gave me squee and brought me back :)
I so hope we can all do it again! *fingers crossed* for happy schedules!
Oh, that's right - you went to Lorna's sister's place for a day or two before - I forgot!
And, I definitely hope so! I could use a lot more of NY, CoRo and you and Lorna - *G*.
how could i have skim read THAT! .. lol .. dunno ..not pink enough I think!
*snort!* Well, she checked it out, and it's not her - darn similar, though! Certainly made me stop and gape as I was going through the "Poverty" pics on their site. *G*
bizzare, but totally cool!
Kind of like your icon! *G*
BTW, every time I see it, it makes me think of some photo from the '50's - *G*
yep that's me - 50s girl at heart
