So, here's some of what I'm been up to, good news an bad.
Bad news first: Been facing the possibility of going on without my dearest cat. His jaw has been getting dislocated now and again over the past coule of months - and now it won't go back, and part of his jaw is broken. He's perfectly fine otherwise, there's no obvious break, and he acts perfectly normal... except his mouth hangs open slightly, he can't close it, and his teeth are misaligned. But there doesn't appear to be anything the vet can do. I'm going to see if they can put a pin in his jaw, but all I hear is that they can wire it up - which means supporting the lower jaw by wiring it to the upper, which means a feeding tube - which I won't do. And, at his age (16), they don't expect his jaw would heal - which is the whole purpose of wiring it up. He must be in pain, but he doesn't show it - seems to want to ignore it. So, if he's happy, I should be happy. It's just hard to do, seeing him like this.
Good news: I went up Friday night to see "Green Street Hooligans" and meet up with
Saw Tig and Morgan's apartment, and they were NOT exaggerating - it's HUGE! Hell, their main room is probably as big as my first floor! Morgan's got a normal sized bedroom, Tig's got a very long one, there's another room in their closet, a little hallway to put bikes in - and even though they've only been their a week, it's all completely moved into!!! Posters on the wall, collections everywhere, furniture... he11, I think I was 40 before I had a place so put together. *S* Thank you both for letting me stay, and getting to watch the Stephen Lynch video.
Then, on top of that, I got to visit my favorite prairie in the morning! So alive and in bloo, so much life, with clouds of monarchs, and goldfinches every where. I got my first ever chance at photographing a gorgeous big preying mantis, as well as a gorgeous caterpillar, and I saw a nest of baby birds (but not photographable), the fringed gentians are in bloom.
So I drove home and collapsed on my sofa... and woke up about 5 hours later. Only to find waaaaaay too many posts to keep up with! And have now contributed my own overly long one! *G*
