I've seen better days...
Damn, what a strange week. First going out of town for the funeral, then my one cat acting strange and trying her best to get run over while avoiding me when she stays outside, then a dead squirrel that I have to bury in my yard, than my other cat getting sick and having to go to the emergency hospital, and now he still isn't eating, which means I probably have to take him again tonight... and earlier today my mom called to tell me one of my aunts passed away. She was 71, not that old, still working, had had a couple of minor health problems, but apparently there was a problem with a valve on her heart, and she died. She was a bit of an eccentric, and never had kids, but we loved her; she'll be missed.

So now, in the last month, I'll have taken off 2 days for my neice's graduation, 6 1/2 days for Scotland, 2 days for my stepbrother's funeral, half a day for a sick cat, and now 2 days for another funeral next week. They're going to begin to wonder who I am at work.

Plus, the viewing's on Tuesday and the funeral Wednesday. , I'm still planning for you guys to stay here, but it means that I may be back just in time to go to the concert, rather than beforehand. Just in case, I'll leave my map behind, with all the info you need on it, my laptop hooked up and ready to go, all the linens out that you'll need, and I'll send you an email on how to get the key, okay? And your ticket! Don't let me forget that!

So, sorry for the sad posting, but it's definitely one of those "everything comes at once" times. Just wish it wasn't on the day of our picnic at work, my dentist appointment, and the day I was set to go to the TMBG concert!

*hugs* I'm sorry so much has been going wrong at once, hon. I hate when life throws everything and the kitchen sink at you. Hope things look better soon!

Thanks - *hugs*; I know you've had your share of these kinds of weeks!

I just wish my cats would start eating again. Even the one that didn't seem to be sick isn't eating.

*big hugs* I'm really sorry that you've had to deal with this. And hey, don't worry about it, that sounds fine as far as the TMBG concert. If we don't meet up before we can definitely meet up after the concert (we always hang around and see if They'll come out and sign stuff). Thanks for still letting us stay there, even with all this craziness. *major hugs*

Sorry to hear about your aunt, but "we loved her; she will be missed" is as good an epitaph as any of us can hope for.

Awww poor Chessie too? Little minxes ... perhaps they are after you changing their diet to something horrendously pricey - like Lucy tricked me into (3 years ago!)

*G* Naw... they were ON the good stuff (Science Diet, Iams), and now they just want the trashy junkfood stuff (Friskies, with lots of gravy!).

Right now Chess is staying at the vet's, where they're busily hydrating him and feeding him nice high calorie food through a syringe (they put it in his cheek and let him swallow it), since he's just not showing interest.

I'm hoping that, once they get his digestive system going again, he'll get back into the swing of things...

But, until then, I just can't think of anything else! My house is a wreck, and I'm getting no work done at all.

I am so sorry Val, *hugs* hope that you manage to make it to TMBG, and hope the funerals go well (as well as can be), that your cat is better soon, and that things look up for you soon!

Just heard yesterday - the vet's been doing "assisted feeding" (squirt very liquid food into their mouths and let them swallow), and it looks like it may have worked in re-triggering their eating response; each of them did some eating over night. I get to pick them up after work today. Thanks for asking!

Oh good! {relieved smile} That does sound encouraging. {SMILE}

I hope they're back to their old tricks in no time... or maybe not. But I think you know what I mean. {chuckle, Amused Smile, wink}

{SMILE} He practically always loves attention, but he's been particularly in the mood for it today. {SMILE} I've had to be cautious when drinking stuff at times, out of fear of getting it "nudged" all over me. {Chuckle, SMILE}
