Scotland (for) the Brave! - "You didn't hear about the polar bear?"
Scotland (for) the Brave!|
Well, I finally GOT MY PLANE TICKETS! Whooooooooooooooooooooooooot!!! *G* I can hear you breathe a sigh of relief all the way over here, Jules; I'm sure you were thinking "she's left it so long, I bet she's decided not to come!". Sorry, you'll just have to put up with me anyway.
So... I'll be coming in on the morning of June 10 (Friday) and leaving the morning of June 19 (Sunday), in both cases through Heathrow.
So, what do I have to remember to bring for people?
Jules: The tape you sent of "Instant Credit" (thank you again and again and again1), and CD's of ALL the CoRo photos
Lorna: Would you like CD's of the CoRo photos? If so, do you just want the best, or all of them, like Jules does? (yes, she IS a fanatic - *G*)
We still need to get the hotel straightened out. I'm thinking of getting new reservations at the same hotel, but for a double, and cancelling my old reservation (it's just a $25 charge to cancel). But I know there was talk of going for all four in one room, or going to another hotel, etc. If we are going to make changes, though, I need us to do it this weekend, or I'm afraid I'll forget to make the changes in time.
In summary: I have plane reservations to and from London, a room for Friday and Saturday night (to share with Kam), a ticket for the musical on Saturday, and then I'm free to roam around Scotland, until the next Saturday, when I have a room at the same hotel.
*happy sigh* I'm going to Scotland! *S*

Do you know that Scotland is very close to Germany ... *rolls eyes* in comparison with the US I mean ;)
I think this is called a broad hint if I'm right
*cough* Not QUITE close enough - *G*! Not when I can only go for a week - *pouts*. Ah, for the days of unemployment when I could stay as long as I wished... *L*! But thank you so much for the offer. (((((((((((((hugs)))))))))))))))
Hooray! It's great when plans are made and settled and the ball is rolling...and that's awfully soon, too! What show are you seeing in London?
"Guys and Dolls", with Ewan McGregor (see - even the show has a Scottish connection) as Skye Masterson!
I'm seeing it a week on Tuesday, I can't wait! And seeing Kevin Spacey the week after. I'm more excited about seeing Jane Krakowski's performance than Ewan's though, I know she can really belt out a good show tune.
Yep, pooh's excited about Ewan and Kevin... and Val Kilmer!
Ooh yes, Val in London too. I'll try and see him at the stage door if I can...although I've not gone round to seeing Johnny Lee Miller yet, and there's a bit of totty that I can't miss!
I'm afraid I have no idea who that is - an English star?
Yep, he's been in Trainspotting, and Hackers, amongst other things. And he used to be married to Angelina Jolie.
lots of good news today - and now I really must get back to work!!
it's very difficult to concentrate :)!
I want to hear more about your job, BTW!
YAY! At last :D Great news my dear, and I can't wait!
Hotel: I still don't really know what you already have or the price of it, so I can't make an informed decision on what is best to do!
Like I said, the double I have booked is £65 for the night for 2 people. Not sure if it costs to cancel, but it certainly doesn't cost if I/you change the reservation.
Oh, I'm fine on the price. Let's just keep it at two rooms, then, shall we? Although... it was fun having us all together in NY! But, again, I snore... *grrrrr*.
Whatever you say my dear!
OMG I'm so jealous!!! Fabulous!!!!
Yes!!! *bounces up and down*
