*G* Lovin' LOST, of course... - "You didn't hear about the polar bear?"
*G* Lovin' LOST, of course...|
Yay! We get to see Dom's - I mean, Charley's - view of the moments before the plane sent down. *G* And he really is just the perfect comic relief in this - the charming, "safe", wiseguy, of course.
Wonder what his personality will be like when he comes off the drug - obviously awful when he goes through withdrawal, but... what will his "normal personality" be? Will it be "better"? i.e., less cowardly? or worse - less mellow?
ooooo.... love the mystery radio message! Whoooot! Okay, my theory? *L*! I'm still going for some kind of "rift" in time and/or space. It cause instability, manifesting itself as wind shear (ripping the plane apart), strange noises (again, due to air instability), people being picked up and flung (the pilot), movement of the trees... and the strange radio message... Anyway, I'm putting this guess down for posterity, so we can all laugh at it later! *G*.
Great plot twist with the woman. And glad to see the baby is still moving!

I'll see if I can find a copy to view. Usually I can if I look hard enough. ;-)
It said it would show the first two episodes on ABC on Saturday starting at 8. Hope that helps!!!

Yeah, that does! Thanks!
Thank god - last night I taped channel 9 instead of 7 and after watching the premiere of 'Lost' ran smack dab into 'Smallville". Eurgh!
REALLY??? Cool! Maybe I can figure out my DVD recorder by then...

...although if you WANTED to tell me all about it, I'd enjoy reading that, too!

LJ is just plain WEIRD at times. Sorry about not noticing all those duplicates last night, but I don't think it ever showed me the reply had POSTED.
The whole time thing was my initial reaction when I first saw the pilot
on the computer. I thought perhaps the voice repeating the message is one of theirs. She said "it has killed the rest of them" or something along those lines. So it seems to imply there being several people there at one time, and implies the mystery creature got them all eventually.
But if it's not, I want to know where the message is coming from. How would it have been able to play for so long? How was there a polar bear on a tropical island? What exactly is the monster? What was the secret that....oh, what's his name? You know, the old man...what was it that he told the boy? What is the deal with the dog? Who is going to die next week, if anyone? Soooooo many questions! I hope this series is a keeper, cause I want to find the answers!
*gasp* The dog... went through the rift... and turned into an invisible tyrannosaurus rex! *gasp*
*G* Tune in, same channel, same time, next week, to find out!! *G*
Good sign that the second episode was even better than the first.
No! Stoppit!! The dog is fine! That guy said he saw him, even! Do NOT hurt the dog! *sob* Do NOT! .....the dog is gonna be okay, right? Right?
...cuz, like...he can be used for when they think something horrible is up ahead? And...they are all scared? And...it comes bounding at them and...(commercial break)...it's the dog!!! See? They need the dog. Case closed. :)
*pets Gaya on the head*
The dog is all right - I'm sure of it! *G*

Radio messages can stay in the airwaves for a very long time though can they not? *I seem to remember a vague X Files explanation*.... but 'Guys, where are we?'

Hubby insists that they are on a Jurassic Park type island.
I think they went into a wormhole and went forwards/backwards in time.
I think Charlie will be very clingy after the drugs wear off. He seems to need almost constant affirmation/attention.
Dad still insists it's dinosaurs too ;)
OMG but what about the bear?
|Date:||September 30th, 2004 11:24 am (UTC)|| |
Um, worm holes in Alaska? Sounds like the beginning of a joke...."a bear walks into a wormhole..."
Heh that's what I think too... the poor bear got sucked down there somehow. Oh well, food for the stranded! Oh no, aren't polar bears on the endangered species list?
He does, doesn't he? Charming, cute in a puppy-like way, but immature. Fun to watch, though! And, perhaps, this will be his "coming of age".
Please tell me they didn't air *two* hours last week, because that means I'll have to find last night's ep somewhere else.
I'm set for re-taping Saturday night (7:00 central, right?) but for last night - any resources? Unless they've shown only two hours so far?
Very annoyed with self. Grr.
|Date:||September 30th, 2004 02:06 pm (UTC)|| |
Up to now, it's been one hour per week, and these two hours will be rerun this saturday.
Thank you! *relief*
There are usually only one or two shows a year that catch my interest, and this is the One. And I'm actually seeing it from the beginning, which almost never happens.

Good - I think you'll like it!

By the way, Hello!
I didn't mean to crash on your LJ like that.
*cringe* I was just looking for varied comments about the "Lost" show, (I enjoy this show very much).
Then, reading your thread I found Ninquelosse's question and since I knew the answer I posted it automatically, like if I were on a forum and not a private LJ. Eeeps.
By the way, I also can't wait to see how Charlie's inevitable withdrawal and its repercussions will be treated. It will be a great occasion for Dom to distance himself from the cute hobbit persona.

Re: By the way, Hello!
? You crashed? not problem - I do the same thing; no harm in joining in on a conversation!
Ah, yes... I hope he gets to show his faults... and then grow past them. *S*
I am quite surprised that you say charlie is the 'comic relief' as that was the last thing I thought of him as, I am glad you are liking it though, it is wonderful, and am trying to get everyone I know to watch it!
*L*! Well, the way he was so crushed when his band wasn't recognized, the way he leered at the blonde and said (nonchalantly trying to impress her) "of course I'm coming along" when she asked if he was going on the expedition. And, of all the men, he and the large guy are some of the few that come off as "not dangerous". Which, of course, means that they'll end up being the most dangerous. *G*
