Photos from The Gathering of the Fellowship, Toronto - 2006!

The Gathering 2006 Awards - photos taken during the presentation of the Unquenchable Flame (?) awards; yes, that's Amy Sturgis being helped up on a chair to reach the microphone, which is being held by Bruce Hopkins, while Craig Parker holds the flame, using his Asbestos Thumb! Excellent! Bruce was one of my fave LOTR actors that I met - he's got an adorable smile :) Very cool guy. And Craig looks handsome there :)

*G* I'm not sure I put up the best of the two of Bruce with the hobbits, unfortunately - but he's a sweetie. And hilarious around Craig. They did a little entertainment for the people who didn't go to the LOTR musical that I'm sure was hilarious - I wish I could have been in two places at once!

That darn Craig... he IS cute! *L*!

Sadly, these are not as good as your pics, but I'm trying not to be too down on myself. The lighting was pretty poor - no extra lights on the people on stage; it was in a ballroom setting. Which is also why they're all flash rather than ambient!

Actually... Anthony is the guy w/the pony tail w/the feather... Ed is the darker complexion man with the mustache, and Jessica (also on organizational committee) is the blonde chick in some of the photos from the awards.

(I know... it's just a list - not in order. But I did wonder... I see a Jessica Burke on the program, but I thought she was married to Anthony, so her last name would be Burdge. Or is her name really Burke?)

Great pics! Many of my photos, especially in the ballrooms, came out dark.
Loved seeing Craig & Bruce again. I hope they do this again in 3 years - maybe Denver next time??

The ballrooms were very tough to photograph in; it's so much easier when there's some kind of stronger lighting aimed at the guests, such as when they're on a stage. They were great! *G* I'm guessing you're from Denver... - *L*!

Your photos are gorgeous! I did buy a few of them, I do hope that's okay. Most of my pictures didn't come out right, mostly because the rooms were too dark when I took them. They will go perfectly in my scrapbook!

Came here from a friend's link, and just wanted to say your photos are just beautiful!

I love Bruce he's so fun! But I've never seen Craig outside LOTR...and WOW he looks so different! The only reason I knew it was him was by his eyes and eyebrows lol. And I've gotta say...I like him much better with the dark hair!

I know... it looks like the flash was just a little too weak on yours; there's only so much you can do unless you get really close or have a more expensive flash. So you got to see the Craig 'n Bruce show, eh? *L*! Looks great! Good pics of "Bilbo" with the wizard - at least I think he was dressed as Bilbo (don't know his name, though). I thought he looked more like a Frodo. Then again, I kept calling poor "Frodo of the Grey Havens" Bilbo! *G* Hard to tell sometimes.

Mike Foster... darn, no I don't think so! I sort of remember who he is... If he's in any of them, he would be in the "awards" album, since I think he might have gotten one as being a helper, but I don't think I got pics of that part. Sorry!

Nope - I slept in during the Thoth part - *L*! But one of the folks who commented above included a link to their album, and they got some nice ones.

hahahah Thats my little "Saint Teddy" Craig has in his shirt pocket! lol I can't believe yall got that pic! We got that bear so smashed the night before! He went diving in "Mummy Robbie's" shirt as well! Chell has pics! lol And the pic where Craig was holding the "flame", he had that thing lit so long that when he finally went to put the lighter down, it wouldn't go out, and Bruce grabbed it b4 he set the table a lite and they both burned their fingers. lol It was Elaina's lighter. lol Gosh those were good times!~Leighann

Hey!!! I love the pix from Gathering!!! I worked the Con and had a blast!! Everyone was really awesome. I saw these pix and I was like "MY FRIENDS!!"lol And when I saw the little bear and Craig pic I got all excited! The bear thing is a running joke between Craig and I since the 1st Gathering in 2003. So to see that pic was really nice. So if anyone sees Craig anytoime soon, give him a bear and tell him the Bear Killer says hi! lol Also, I am attending Ring*Con in Germany this upcoming year and wondered if anyone else was going to attend.
