X-Men 3, Movie Trailers, and CoRo
Loved X-Men 3; I was either shouting out things to the screen, or resisting the urge to the whole time! *L*! God, "younger" Ian McKellen? *melts into a big puddle of fangirl goo* Good story, good characterizations (except Xavier this time... came off a bit cold in parts), great special effects, clever ideas. Also saw a trailer for "My Super Ex-Girlfriend", and kept trying to figure out who the hell Luke Wilson reminded me of... anonypooh, you're not going to believe this, but... I think he reminds me of Eric in Common Rotation! O.O If a find a pic, I'll post it here. Looks very promisingly funny. *G*

ETA: GRRRRR!!!!!! beizy says they showed the trailer for "Snakes on a Plane" at her theatre... but we didn't get it!!!!

And, can I just say...

"I AM THE JUGGERNAUT, BITCH!" *L*!!! Please, somebody comment with the link to that internet clip!!!! Do you think they put that in after seeing it?

ETA: Found it! Seriously bad language, and in really poor taste... but also brilliant. An X-Men cartoon clip... with new voices that sound like a lot of "gangsta"style dialogue: http://www.youtube.com/watch?search=juggernaut&v=P8mXPtCZDd0 Warning: could be taken as racist, but I don't think it's meant to be. More like comedy from juxtaposition of two very different things.

IMHO - yep! Especially if you see it sitting next to a friend who's really into it - *L*! I lucked out and went with a group, in honor of the birthday of somebody who's a great X-Men fan. Now, mind you, a couple of the guys said it wasn't as good as X-Men 2, but they weren't very clear why. And if you're an expert, some people didn't like that some rather recognizable
"new" characters were minor and didn't get to "do their thing". For example, my friend is a Psylocke fan. I wouldn't know who that was if not for her, but she has a "psychic blade" (imagine your hand turning into a flaming knife if you want it to). Apparently she was one of the 3 tattooed women in black leather you'll see join Magneto - but they don't show her using her psychic blade, so...? But it certainly kept me entertained, was clever, exciting, and, at times, touching.

I'd see just about anything with Sir Ian in it. He steals the show in Da Vinci Code

I have this theory that Snakes on a Plane is not actually being produced by human beings, but instead willed into being by the collective power of the Internet.

The more I hear about this movie, the more I think I may be right.

Oh, and the Juggernaut line HAS to be a reference. The clip has been around for a while -- I remember my roommate watching it last semester.

As far as I can tell, the clip is someone taking an episode of the old X-men cartoon, putting it on mute, and ad-libbing new dialogue over the top of it. You can hear the person's friends giggling in the background.

*G* Great! God... love what they did. Especially the strange mumbo-jumbo they have Charles reciting as he tries to control the Juggernaut with his mind.. *ggl*.

*L*! Well, it's at LEAST an interactive creation of the internet and the producers. *G*

hee I'm so uninterested by X ... I did watch the other 2 but they are just blah to me.

Hah! Just looked up a bunch of images of Luke Wilson on IMDB - and ... hmmmm.. yes, I see it too :) Maybe something in the eyes --pulling off looking vacantly bored but intelligent and keenly amused at the same time - and he wears his eyebrows low lol ... I don't know!

You did? Thanks! *L* - love your description, and, you know what... I think you're right. Plus they both have that tanned good-looking face.

(p.s. Thank you for being patient about the pics! This is going to be the week from hell!)

As to X-Men... but... but... but... IAN!!!!!!!!!!! Pretty guys!!!!! IANNNNN!!!!!

Sadly, yes! *S* Hopefully your landlord business will help to ease the crunch, but it will take time.
