Potpourri!
Lilith, there's a tongue-in-cheek "Dr. Who" shirt you might like over at TWOP (TVWithoutPity): http://www.glarkware.com/securestore/c188252p16784490.2.html

And for you LOST fans... you might like these: http://www.glarkware.com/securestore/c188252p16716379.2.html, http://www.glarkware.com/securestore/c188252p16784545.2.html

All TWOP merchandise is offered for a limited time only; that's why they're called NoN - Now or Never!

And, again for Lilith, since I know one of your favorite actors is Alan Cumming, I was wondering if you ever saw his made-for-TV movie, "Bernard and the Genie"? I came across my videotape of it while tossing out most of my old tapes. It's available in DVD now. He made it about, what... 10 or 15 years ago? Not a work of genius, but cute. Let me know if you want my tape.

Speaking of tapes, I doubt highly if anybody wants any, since I'm sure they're all available on DVD now, but I have tons of Dr. Who tapes, ST:TNG tapes and so on.

Another movie I ran across while looking through the old tapes is a flamenco-influenced of "Carmen" (1983). No, it's not a flamenco performance: it's about a flamenco troupe that decides to put on a flamenco performance of "Carmen", and how reality starts to resemble the story... Very hot, excellent performances, great style. But I can't find it on DVD! *cries* Ah, well.

What else? Moving is over!!!! It went really, really well, and the house is empty... just me, the two cats, and a modem. *G* It's been beautiful here; I think I'll enjoy my last couple of days in Indy. I'm getting used to the idea of selling the house, and, while I'm sure I'll have some more twinges as things progress, I've accepted it, and am looking forward to seeing what living in Chicago is like again.

Sorry if you've emailed me and I haven't replied; this is the first time I've been on-line for a while!

Yay for the move being over and for things going well. The Snafoo gods are probably still mulling over last night's LOST. :D

And I'm slowly but surely replacing my Doctor Who tapes as the DVDs come out, which leaves me also with lots of videotape that needs a good home.

*G* Love your icon!

Why the reference to the Snafoo gods and LOST? (I missed it, because my TV was packed, but read the caplet)

My tapes have found a new home... the garbage. *sigh* The only ones I kept were of weird series that will probably never be on DVD: Earth 2, V.R. 5, War of the Worlds, and the X-Men Cartoon.

Apparently you didn't realize that Earth 2 and the first season of War of the Worlds *are* on DVD. Right now. :)

*L*! I love reading the "people who bought this item also bought..." list in Amazon. Look what's under the "War of the Worlds Season One":

Customers who bought this DVD also bought:

Space Above and Beyond - The Complete Series DVD ~ Morgan Weisser

The War of the Worlds (Special Collector's Edition) DVD ~ Gene Barry

Earth 2 - The Complete Series DVD ~ Debrah Farentino

Battlestar Galactica - Season One (2004) DVD ~ Edward James Olmos

*G* Earth 2!!!

(although I don't remember a "Space: Above and Beyond" series at all!)

I think I saw that movie but I don't have it, so yeah - I'll put your tape onto DVD. You're not going to MediaWest by any chance, are you?

EEEEE!!!! *G* Apparently you moved in as I moved out!

Houses vary IMMENSELY in price depending on where you live. It's a bit of an exaggeration, but houses in Chicago are about twice as expensive as the ones in Indy... and a friend who recently moved to California said that prices there were twice as high as in Chicago!

*HUG* Glad all the moving has gone well. I for one am looking forward to you living nearer. Now that so many of my ponypals are in the Chicago area, I plan on getting over the notion that it's so far away etc.

That tape of "Carmen"? I saw that ages ago when I was studying theater, and remember it really well. Intense piece. Drat...I'd love that on DVD, too.
