A Scotsman - on LOST! Okay, just a cameo, but...
a Scotsman! *G* Now I'll have to try to find out who it is!

More - including spoilers:

OMG... they're attacking Jack with The Mommas and The Poppas - it's Mama Cass Elliot! *L*!

So now we know why the compasses are wacky on the island - *G*.

Hmmmm... apparently a creature from the early 70's lives on the island - along with vinyl records, a DOS computer, and really tasteless furniture. Hmmm... a little too long ago to be one of Rousseau's people, who arrived in 1979... or not?

Loved the "young" Jack with more hair - *S*.

Is it my imagination, or is this the woman Jack marries? I don't know why, but I seem to remember he did marry once - didn't he? And she'd died?

If QUARANTINE were on the outside of the hatch, they'd have seen it, right? So it wasn't. Which means it was on the outside. Which doesn't make sense. Unless the person inside was CRAZY and had to keep reminding himself tht he couldn't go outside because everybody out there was SICK.

But let's get back to the Scotsman - WHAT'S HIS NAME????

EEEEK! HE'S the one in the hatch?!?!?!?!

Wow...that would be interesting and not too surprising if he married that girl. I mean...it was obvious that her fiance wasn't going to stick around. Good premiere!

And I liked that Scot!

But... but... now he's EVUL SCOT!

Although... darn, we need to know when Jack met him, because that would tell us the earliest date the Scot could have gone below. Hmmm....

Yes, I think she is the one he married. I think this is when they met. Didn't she say he fixed her or something, when we saw the flashbacks last season?

What I want to know is, what is the deal with the creepy Scottish dude? He said something about Jack having fixed her, even when he knew the surgery did not work. Then miraculously she is cured? Then the creepy Scottish dude is the one in the hatch? And, when may I ask was this supposed to have happened to Jack? When did he meet this woman? I would have assumed it was AFTER the 70's. *G* So...WTF?!?!?!? O_O

What happened to Kate? Why was Locke saying everything was ok? And what's up with spooky wet Walt in the jungle? And the voices Shannon heard? CREEEEEPY!

Hey... that does sound familiar!

I know... I'm torn between Scottish dude getting in there 16 years ago or less.... and that WOULD fit with this episode, since Jack is in his mid thirties, and even as a wunderkind, he'd have to be in his twenties to be a doctor. Hell, it can't really have been more than 10 years ago.

But it looks like the hatch was from before then. As if he showed up on the island and moved into an already supplied hatch.

Lots of cool creepy stuff... *G*

Henry Ian Cusick

He sounded Irish to my ears, though. Hopefully we'll find out where he's supposedly from in the near future. Although, considering this show, that's not very likely. ;)

And after a little more research, I discover my ears were indeed wrong. Silly ears. Must listen to more Scots. ;)

Scottish to me - and I hope I'm right, because I figured I was finally getting it straight after visiting Scotland this year. *G* But Cusick sounds like Cusack, which I believe is Irish. Thank you!!!

"Interesting that they have a "what to call him" section on the actor's page." *snorfle* You noticed that, too?!?! That was... strange. *G*

Hey - *pouts* - a box could've worked! Or... or... they could have had scaredy-cat Charlie caught instead! *L*! I know, I know... a little different from the plot.

Ah... a DOS computer is more like late 80's than early 70's. The personal computers we had when I was in secondary school in the early to mid 80's didn't have standardized operating systems. {Smile}

Yeah... now that I think of it, I was using punchcards in college, and that was in the late 70's/early 80's. I think I was on a computer at a job in about 1980. But the Defense complex would have been on them first, so maybe the '70's?

For hardware, maybe, but wouldn't they have already had their own operating system? Besides, I have a sneaking suspicion that DOS was invented during the 80's. {Smile}
