This and that! *G*
Watching "The Gilmore Girls" (one of my mom's faves) for the first time. Two funny things: first, "Jonathon" from "Buffy" is in it as "Doyle"... and Lorelei just said, as she channelsurfs, "Is it just me, or is Frodo on every channel?" *G*

And a pic that beizy took at ELF of the "Ringers" DVD cover with Dominic on the cover. May I say, he looks like "Father Monaghan" in that outfit? And I wouldn't mind confessing to HIM... *G*:

And isn't that the most devilish expression you've ever seen? *G*

Isn't he so hot?!?!? *sigh* Plus they showed the trailer, and a 20 minute making-of documentary, which included some niiiiiice Dom footage. I definitely want a copy of this film. They really did put a lot of care into this project, and do not portray the fans as weirdos, but in a more positive light. Which you already know because you saw a lot of it at ORC. I am just upset with New Line for the way they reacted on seeing the film, and I am totally thankful to Sony for making this release possible.

Really? How did New Line react?

And, darn it, I came away from ORC thinking "wouldn't it be great if they showed this at the LOTR Exhibit that will be in Indy?", and sent notes to the museum, and suggested it to a person at ORC, but... nothing! Damn - I think it would be GREAT!

Is there a Ringer site?

lordofthefans.com, I think.

Oh, New Line. According to Carlene Cordova, when they had the screening in Utah in January, New Line got up and stormed out after only 15 minutes. Their complaint? It was "too intellectual." They wanted it to show goofy, wacky fans, like Trekkies. When they realized what the movie actually did in showing the seriousness of the influence Tolkien has had through the decades, and the intelligence of the fans, they wanted nothing to do with it. Cliff says they have had no contact with New Line since. Thankfully Sony is behind this. I am actually hoping they will get the rights to The Hobbit after hearing about this. *sigh*

I think I remember loopybunny saying that Gilmore Girls usually has an LOTR reference worked in somewhere. I wonder how long that's been going on. {BIG GRIN}

I thought you might want to know that. {chuckle, Smile} I find that idea intriguing, even tho I don't particularly care for the show itself. {SMILE}

I've never seen an episode of Gilmore Girls, although a fellow flist-member has pimped it to high heaven to me. Not sure if it would be my cup of tea, but as it's on cable at least once a day here, I should try it and see...

Well... it's not really mine, either. A little too cutesy. It's like a PAX tv show... from a liberal viewpoint! If that makes any sense. And the daughter's voice is driving me up a wall. But good to see "Jonathan" getting work. And the daughter reminds me of some friends (other than the voice, of course). *G*

Ok, so I've been obsessing about the Gilmore Girls for ages now... I've got the first season on DVD (thanx Gilly, for importing it from the States)... "Mum" Lorelai is my favoritest person in the soaphistory!!!
Anyhoo, do any of you Monaghan-freaks know of his appearance in "Lost", or am i just late, again *g*? Be gentle in that case, I live in Lalaland Europe, we're always late... And I do think he's cute, but I've always been a sucker for the classic: Johnny Depp... I didn't know meself, till I noticed that half my DVDcollection has him in it... *L*

We do, we do, we do! We spent all last year LOVING his appearance in it! And you will to. He's actually one of the main 10 or so characters (it's a very ensemble cast). I think J.J. Abrams (the creator of the show) has a soft spot for him - he gets great scenes. And... he looks wonderful! *S*
