Fareed Zakaria (Newsweek Columnist) on "The Daily Show" - "You have to remember, with Islam, there is no one Pope to say "This is kosher"." (Yes, FZ was being cute... but you gotta love a sentence that manages to cover 3 world religions - *L*!)

I actually heard that damn song I heard in England again - while walking through Lowe's hardware store. "Breakdown... come on and Breakdown....... It's all right and it's all right..." (clarification: I like the song, I'm just frustrated that I don't know who does it! *G*)

I bought an electric lawnmower, when my cute little non-powered reel mower couldn't handle my way overgown lawn that I've neglected for 3 weeks. *G* It's cool! It works! But I have to admit that I felt like I was vacuuming the lawn, what with the cord trailing behind...

The Indiana BMV (Board of Moter Vehicles) has instructed that all wall clocks be removed from public view. So people won't realize how long they've been waiting. *shakes head*

Next... gotta spin the old Wheel of Useless Sites for today's choice! *G*

You mean the song from Footloose? At least I think that's what it's from...

*L*! No, but I know which one you mean!

Nope, this is new... might be Butterfly Boucher... just one of those songs, you know?

If Google be true, you're looking for Tom Petty. Unless it's a cover.

Fareed Zakaria is one of the world news writers that I always read when my Newsweek comes in. Now if we had cable, I could see the Daily Show, but I'll just have to wait til Mom moves in. She cannot live without Jon.

Nope, not that one... a... European-sounding female singer... but I don't know who!

Ahhh... well, interestingly enough, one reason he was on there was because... ta-da!... he's going to have his OWN show. *G* Don't ask me where, but, yes, it's probably on cable - sorry.

The other options Google had were Mariah Carey and Suzi Quatro (who covers the Petty).

Nope... *L*! If I only remembered more of the darn lyrics.

And it wasn't Butterfly Boucher; I have a CD of hers and thought it might have been some song of hers stuck in my brain.
