Ah, the slashiness of "House"...
I was watching an old episode (the one with the "poison jeans" - *G*), and there is a great, great scene that I'd completely forgotten about.

House walks off the elevator, only to have Wilson walk up to him, hand gesutring dramatically, reciting the following lines to him:

“The healer with his magic powers…
I could rub his gentle brow for hours… "

[arched eyebrows, a bit of worried surprise from House as he tries to avoid Wilson]

"His manly chest, his stubbled jaw,
everything about him leaves me raw-”

House says dryly: "Psych ward’s upstairs"

Wilson continues “-with joy. Oh House, your very name… will never leave this girl the same.”

*G* Turns out that Wilson is reciting a poem left for House by a sexually charged 82-year-old woman that House has been treating. But, good lord... I just about died - *L*!

Robert Sean Leonard (did I get his name right?) plays Wilson beautifully, but he does have the oddest eyebrows. *L*!

AND... in other random news... Doogie Howser is on "Numbers" tonight!!!! *G*

ETA: Good lord... he's also in a series next year... along with Alyson Hannigan (Willow)! For a second there, I thought one of the guys was Adam Busch, but, alas, it was not to be. *sigh*

How I Met Your Mother

(Comedy)

Airs: Mondays 8:30 PM (CBS)

Premise:
Ted recently fell in love. It all started when Ted's best friend, Marshall, drops the bombshell that he's going to propose to his long-time girlfriend Lily, a kindergarten teacher. At that moment, Ted realizes that he had better get a move on if he hopes to find true love, too. Helping him in his quest is Barney, a friend with endless (sometimes outrageous) opinions, a penchant for suits and a fool-proof way to meet women. When Ted meets Robin, he's sure it's love at first sight -- but destiny may have something else in store. With voice-over by Bob Saget ("Full House"), the show is told through flashbacks from the future.

Show Background:
Carter Bays and Craig Thomas are the executive producers.

Current Cast:

Josh Radnor as Ted
Jason Segel as Marshall
Alyson Hannigan as Lily
Neil Patrick Harris as Barney
Cobie Smulders as Robin

Ah... I love that show. I have all the episodes if you want to check 'em out. :)

David looks so different now... but I still maintain that I always thought he was cute. ;)

Okie days... what do you think of it? I loved it. I really hope it's back next season. *crosses fingers* It has one of the worst timeslots though...

Well... I like the cast, but I think the "solving incredibly obscure problems in incredibly obscure ways" is getting too overdone (and unbelievable) on TV, you know? Granted, I do love "House", which has a similar problem, but the bantering is so good on there, that I stick it out.

It does sound like the family situation in this one is well done, though!

I don't really watch a lot of TV so... yeah... I think it's well done but... *shrugs*

The family is the best part... they have some great moments together. :)

Oh, he's asking for it, baby... he's ASKING for it!

My take on House's thoughts as he hears this recited:

"Hey, I always thought Wilson was a little "off", but... good lord! Who knew my manly rugged good looks would be to much for him and push him over the edge? Come to think of it, though... he IS rather attractive..."

I also think having Wilson read those lines (any one of the ducklings or Cuddy could've given him that message) might have been a bit of a wink to RSL's role in Dead Poets Society.
I don't read much fic, but lately have stumbled across some really good slashy H/W pieces.... they belong togetha!

Oooo!!!! Share! Share! *G*

And, yes, I thought it might be a wink to that, too... but, no, nobody but Wilson could have gotten away with teasing House like that. *G*

You're right, the only person that could get away with that other than Wilson would be Cuddy.
Here's some I've read recently... some (maybe all... I don't remember) just implied slash, but satisfying to me anyway.

No exchange of payment

Leave this harbour for the sea

Four ways to cheat on Mrs. Wilson
I don't think this one has slash, but it's a good character study

A fear of falling

Safe from harm
House and Chase but really well done (not slash)

Blow the candles out
