Hi! Fun at Toys 'R Us, Stuff on the way, Slipstream about to START! - "You didn't hear about the polar bear?"
Hi! Fun at Toys 'R Us, Stuff on the way, Slipstream about to START!|
There's a cute new larger-sized, articulated Sam out there now at Toys 'R Us (*cough*don'tbuyonepoohandfreakspawn!*cough*). I didn't see a Frodo yet, but *crosses fingers*. There are also more fully articulated versions of the regular 6" figures, so I got myself a Sam and a Frodo for the heck of it. *G*
Oooooo! Jack of None! Have you seen the figures for the new Disney Robot movie yet? You know, the one where the robots look like they're made from '50's appliances and such? I'm really impressed with the imagination and detail, and they're very appealing.
And... *L* - there's an "Edna" figure out - you know, the little designer with glasses from "The Incredibles", designed after Edith Head.
Tig - got the package from you, and got one on the way - I think you'll like it! *G* Got a very small, silly thing on the way for you, Cat - picked it up ages ago at GenCon - a "button" game, where one button reminded me of you. *G*
ETA: "Slipstream" is starting on the SciFi Channel - squeee!!! Opens on Sean's face in closeup, in a pensive thoughtful moment... checking the time maching on his wrist. Interesting how his voice is slightly different in this, as he does the voiceover. Very interesting voiceover, camera work... Sean looking cool... I think I may like this. *G*
Funny thing? The movie BEFORE Slipstream is "Terminator 2: Judgement Day". If you recall, the ending takes place in a foundry, where the "bad guy" finally meets his end by melting in the molten steel. So, there are the major characters, on a platform that overhangs it, looking down on an orange molten mass... and tossing the chip, etc. that needs to be destroyed to prevent an evil future down into the glowing lava... I mean, molten steel. *G* *cough* Sound like the scene at the (almost) end of a certain movie trilogy we all know and love? *LOL*!!! How appropriate, just before Sean's movie. Hey - he's credited as a co-producer! (credits at the beginning have started; sitting down to watch!)
No, I haven't seen the Robot movie yet. I saw a trailer for it and my first thought was "Oh god. I'm going to end up seeing this, aren't I?"
Yes. Yes you ARE!!! *L*!
Get thee to a Toys 'R Us, girl! *G*
Yes, there's a larger articulated Frodo out now. With a cloth vest. I got him at Toys R Us.
He and Sam are currently waltzing on a bookshelf behind me.
Squeee!!!! A cloth vest, you say? Hmmm... so is this in a mostly open box, and is Sam's outfit all plastic? Much larger than the 6" inch sized figures?
I was wondering if you'd get them - and the smaller versions - for better posing... *G*.
So... Sam is teaching Frodo how to ballroom dance? *L*!
Yes, a little brown almost-velvet vest. Yes, the boxes are the open ones. They're actually 8 inches tall, I just measured for you. And they both are...how do I put this delicately...anatomically very male.
I love the smaller ones. They do pose well and are cute.
Yes, Sam is quite the little plastic dancer. *smiles*
*hmmms* "Plastic dancer, dancer for money, do what you want me to do..."
Oh, wait... wrong words - *G*.
Great! Unfortunately our Toys R Us had only Sam, Aragorn and Eomer... must go searching for a Frodo! *G* Thanks.

They DO have a Frodo, and I know where to get him... assuming that they still have him :)
Ooooo... think you could pick one up for me?! This is in a "half box" - as if they took a box and cut it open diagonally... blue color on the outside, light yellow on the inside... Sam has a knife and a... tomahawk? Our store had Aragorn and Eomer... *G* Want to trade an Eomer for a Frodo? *G*

oh, I am well aware of these figures of which you speak :)
I already have an Eomer :)
So... just sit back and relax and good things shall come to you ;)
*LOL*!!!! Thank you, "Galadriel" - *L*!!
*snorfles* at your PSYKNIFE!!!!
Did you make that? *LOL*!!!!

Yea The EDNA talks too. And intelligently --responds to your replys and everything. That would be a fun office toy.
*G* I almost got it... but I just want a small cute Edna figure, to put on my desk. Dahling. *G*
